Lin Biao
A Chinese Supporter of Socialism and a good friend of Mao Zedong (Tse-Tung). Lin Biao's goal was Mao's goal, that is to win the support of the Chinese peasants. He was also a great military leader and lead the Liberation Army. This picture shows Lin Biao holding the Little Red Book in his right hand. Lin Biao was a propaganda figure and he contributed to the propaganda movement by helping publish Mao's Book.
Lin Biao's Death and Betrayal
The Chinese officials in 1971 announced that Lin Biao was killed in a plane crash after his attempt to assassinate Mao Zedong, but other historians say that Mao was uncomfortable with Lin Biao was gaining too much popularity and power that he decided to plot against him, and maybe Lin discovered Mao's treachery and tried to overthrow Mao.
