Mao's effect on China today
Although China is a republic today, the influences of Communism from long ago still remain in many different forms. For instance, during the incidence of China and Tibet, the Chinese government performed many violations on human rights when they killed some Tibetian protestors and sent the paramilitary police and troops in. Meanwhile, many of the Chinese citizens believed they were doing right. In stopping the protests of the Tibetians, they believed that they were bringing peace to their country. This natural mindset came from the government who set their propaganda skills into action. Today, the Chinese are still to believing in everything that the government tells them due to the fact that Mao helped them believe that government could do no wrong.
